California Book Tour

Just did a four day tour in California promoting the release of "Walt's Imagination."

First stop: The Walt Disney Family Museum for a combo lecture and book signing. The reception was stellar.

The Disney name is known to everyone, but it's terrific to reintroduce his life's story to a new generation of cartoon and animation fans. During the book-signing that followed the lecture, I got to hear the comments from some of the audience. A sweet woman named Louise paid me the ultimate compliment, she said, "Your painting on the cover captured the twinkle in Walt's eye."

After The Walt Disney Family Museum, my wife Cami, my son Caleb, and I flew to Burbank, CA where we were joined by our other son Ian (incidentally all of my family served as art models in this book). There I did another combo lecture and book signing to a combined audience of friends, family, and fellow Disneyites at the CTN Center Stage Gallery... followed by a great brunch.

The following day I did a book signing at the studio store on the Disney Main Lot. on Buena Vista St. My boss Jamie Mitchell and crew from "Fancy Nancy" came to cheer me on... Thanks guys!
